Place a suitable container below
the oil drain guide to catch the
used oil, then remove the oil filler
cap and the drain plug.
4.
Allow the used oil to drain
completely, then reinstall the
engine oil drain plug, and tighten it
securely.

Improper disposal of engine oil
can be harmful to the environment.
If
you change your
own
oil, please
dispose
of
the used oil properly.
Put it in
a
sealed container, and
take it to a recycling center.
Do
not discard it in a trash bin or
dump it
on
the ground.

Install the oil drain cover and
secure it with the screw.
6.
With the outboard motor in a
vertical position, fill to the upper
limit mark on the dipstick (p.
56)
with the recommended oil.

Install the oil filler cap and tighten
it securely.
8.
Install and lock the engine cover.
Oil Filter
Change
1.
Drain the engine oil, and reinstall
the drain plug and oil drain cover
(see Engine Oil Change on p.
63
).
2.
Tilt
the
outboard motor, and place
a suitable container below the oil
drain guide to catch the used oil.
3.
Use a suitable tool to remove the
oil filter, and throughly drain the
filter into the used oil container.
